Despite my firm stance on the Non-Aggression Principle and my abhorrence of initiating violence, there are certain things that make me want to really punch someone in the face. Twice.

Take this stupid, idiotic, completely deceitful cartoon, supposedly from a “Conservative.” He’s a “Conservative” if that word means a big-spending, Statist government brown-noser.

idiot cartoon

Obviously, this is meant to decry the “‘defense’ cuts” that may possibly take place. Obviously, that won’t happen, but the sheer stupidity of this cartoon is such that I couldn’t defer responding to it.

I’m having a hard time keeping a somewhat-civil tongue right now. Or at least keyboard.

How about the reality of government spending on murdering defenseless children around the world. Let’s see how the U.S. government stacks up against the rest of the world. Poor little guy looks so emaciated in that picture up there!

defense spending

Oops. Iran’s military, including their backdoor funding to Hezbollah, is almost too tiny to even show on this scale. The U.S. government’s terror proxies are funded through drug money-laundering operations, so that money wouldn’t show up on this chart.

You do realize that the facts make warmongering “Conservatives” like the idiot that drew the cartoon above look like the lying sleazeballs they really are, right? The U.S. government spends half as much on “defense” as the rest of the world combined. Yet Boeing, BAE, Lockheed-Martin, GE, General Dynamics, and all the rest of the Military-Industrial Complex need more of your confiscated wealth.

And you voted for these idiots. Pat yourself on the back, hero.

A-MEN! Although, they are capable of math, they are just lying SOBs…

That one gets a star. I would suggest fixing a small error though. The US govt spends as much as the rest of the world combined on defense, not half as much. I saw the stats somewhere.. that as of a year or 2 ago, the US was spending 44% of all money spent on Defense in the world. That’s darn close to as much as the rest of the world combined.

This is pathetic. I was a neo-con at one point, and can see where the average person is coming from. Once confronted with facts, I realized that I can no longer support “defense” spending that isn’t on par with our most well-funded “enemy”. I would support a spending level similar to that of China (or less). I know that some would disagree, but…

Also, I am against a standing army BTW. That is for aggression, not defense.

Any decrease is a good thing, in my opinion. I believe it was Rothbard that pointed out that as we travel toward liberty, our path may line up for a time with those with whom we disagree. We can travel with them to that extent, even if we cannot reconcile other differences with them.

So, any cut, reduction, “sequestration,” or government layoff is a good thing. Not the goal, but a step, however slight, in the right direction.

We should send them a copy of Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt’s book, “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America.”
